SPEED: Jeremy Moore leads the field around a bend, with Kayla Caulfield, Robert Reschke and Jack McGennisken all right on his tail.The sixth round of the 2015/16 Apsley and District Motorsport Club Speedwaywas held on the April 17, with lovely weather conditionsbringing a good crowd.
The track got faster as the day went on, encouraging quicker timesand bigger smiles from the drivers on the line. Outside passing manoeuvres were not recommended as the rough was slowgoing,howeverJeremy Moore in his WB V8 ute appeared to handle it well.
Itwas great to have Alex and Aaron Szejnoga back again in their new cars and JackTaylor’s V8 Commodore was back and running well. A special event for twofemale contestants over three high speed laps, saw Andrea Polderman defeatKayla Caulfield in a tight contest. Ryan Edwards’ last minute decision to race inthe 10 lap all inpaid off, with a first in the event.The next meeting is on May 22.Entry is free but coindonations are welcome.
